The TOEIC Listening and Reading test is a fair and valid of assessment of English-language listening and reading skills for the workplace. When taken together with the TOEIC Speaking and Writing tests, the tests provide a reliable measurement of all four English-language communication skills. The TOEIC Listening and Reading test is a multiple-choice assessment. There are two timed sections of 100 questions each.
The test takes about 2.5 hours total:
Test takers listen to a variety of questions and short conversations recorded in English, then answer questions based on what they have heard (100 items total).
Test takers read a variety of materials and respond at their own pace (100 items total).
